metaplot overview.

The multiverse had to start from one place. That place is the Nexus World.

This flat world is where the building blocks for life began. The spirit, the body, the elements and a touch of magic.

Generated here is life energy that moves along the web and sustains every living thing from microbes to whole universes. As things are born they also die and this death energy returns to the Nexus to be recycled.

This system continued for untold millennia and some of the deceased souls became aware of the world and chose to exist there instead of returning to their world. Thus, the world started to fill with more beings that could generate energy through the act that creates life.

Most of these people lived peacefully, submitting to the cycle of life and death. However, a small group of people started to become jealous of the Temple Elders who are the two sole true immortals.

Wanting to attain the same immortality, they created a secret society and attempted to separate worlds from the web in the belief that severing the cycle of death's return would render them unable to die.

There was a flaw in the plan, though; instead of severing the ties it opened them to bring people who have not yet died or those who have not yet been recycled back to their world.

Thus, the new age began...
